[Music Im Currently Listening Too |"The One I Love" - ?]

I remember one time when I was younger that I went on a jewelery site that had all kinds of things on it. Celtic stuff, wiccan symbols, and etc. I have long since forgotten what it was though.

But one thing that does come to mind was the fact that I saw a pair of necklaces with upside down triangles. One was pink and one was rainbow. At the time I had no idea what they meant and showed my dad asking him if he thought they looked cool. He just stared at them and asked me what kind of site it was.

I told him it was a site with a very wide variety of charms and rings and all kinds of jewelery on it. He just nodded and left the room without giving me his opinion. I shrugged it off and didn't take it as anything bad.

Once I learned what they meant, the memory came back to me and I realized how innocent I was and how my dad must have just brushed it off as just that. Innocence and no knowledge as to what it would mean if I (as an 11 or 10 year old) would have bought them and walked around school with people who DID know what it meant.

Now that I look back on it, I think to myself "What if I asked him if I could buy one now?"

I don't think he would think I was as innocent as I was then. And im not saying I am, far from it. But still...I would kill to be young again without a care in the world. Where the aspect that a rainbow meant having every color of the rainbow there to see. And not what it has grown to mean in this very judgemental society.

[Music Im Currently Listening Too |"3 Small Words" - Josie and the Pussycats]

I think that the aspects of societys views on homosexuality are just on the back burner at the moment. Sure its getting hot, even close to a boil. But people are still ruling out the idea that we should even face the issue. The aspects that make this issue such a debated topic, relies entirely in the human mind.
A huge part of a persons life. Faith can affect any (and sometimes all) choices that you make in your life. From what huspand or wife you will take to what you will wear that day. This point is one of the major issues that divides the 'Society vs. Homosexuals' case, that has been adressed so many ways lately, and the 'Society vs. Africans' case that was in its prime only a few centuries ago (and still is going on now in some individuals lives).
Back during that time, they were looked down on and the idea of equality and freedom for them was unthinkable. They were shunned and mocked and treated terribly. Much like homosexuals now I think.
Then, it was just ignorance led by not understanding or wanting to. Now is the same scenario, with the addition of the word of the peoples Holy Lord and Savior. For most people, their ideas (when it comes to them and God) are set in stone. To get these people to see the error of their moral values will prove to be a tough task, almost impossible.
Love is one of the most beautiful emotions on this earth that anyone can feel. Its a free right that anyone and everyone is entitled to, and (like religion) can alter any choices one makes for their life and its course. When someone is attracted to a member of a certain sex, it is hard to understand why anyone else would not think the same. It is a beauty and closeness and understanding that only we can see and feel with another individual.
Its the same with sex. Some like it hard, others like it soft. If one person from each side were treated just the opposite, they would get nothing out of it except disappointment. The same with a man and a man, or a woman and a woman. Suppose the man tried with a woman, and visa-versa. They would each not be fulfilled like they know they could be with someone else who was of the same gender.
Many many people now, and in the future, have tried to mask their feelings of lust and desire and love for someone of the same sex with a legal man and woman marriage or relationship. Secretly though, they are not satisfied, no matter how much they try to fool themselves.
My point is this, a straight person will never understand the attraction, and thus their thoughts being alienated from the very attempt to comprehend it. This ignorance entitles them to think that it is not desirable, as they have gathered so from their own concious desires.
and finally..
There is a fine line between justice and what is just. A legal right can be signed so that a father who would sooner rape his child than treat them right, as long as his hands are cleaned off enough and he has enough money to dish out to the high-paying lawyers of the area.
Now I am going to be the first to tell you that I am ignorant to alot (if not all) of politics. But, if a leaders views get in the way of anything that is trying to be accomplished so that they try to bend everything to their will, that will surely be un-just. But by their lips as the 'head-hancho' what they say GOES.
Apply this to todays political views of others, and you will see what I am getting at.
Thank you for taking the time to read all this babble. Hasta.
